Cohutta.Com was founded in 2001 by John Mullinix. The company specializes in providing computer and networking support to small businesses in the area, using inexpensive open-source solution when feasible. It installs and maintains small business phone systems using leading edge Voice over IP technology. The firm also builds and maintains radio stations.
Founder, John Mullinix, was reared on a farm in Maryland, attended Georgia Tech in the 70's, settled in North Georgia in 1996 and founded Cohutta.Com, Inc. in 2001. He was certified as a CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking Associate) in 2001 and was graduated from North Georgia Technical College in 2002. He specializes in using open-source, Linux based solutions and is recogized as an expert in Voice over IP, Asterisk based telephony.
Lead Technician, Bill Rau, has lived most of his life in the Southern Appalchians and was graduated from Western Carolina University. While in college, he was on the team that built the first FM radio station there. His expertise includes computer repair, network diagnosis and repair, radio station installation and repair, and Asterisk based Voice over IP (VOIP).
